✈️ 1. Arriving in Turkey and Traveling to Sapanca 

If you're traveling from abroad, the closest international airports are:

• Istanbul Airport (IST) – ~150 km from Sapanca

• Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) – ~100 km from Sapanca

Both airports have shuttle services directly to Sakarya. If you are traveling from Istanbul Airport (IST) you can use Istanbul Seyahat Airport Shuttles  and if you are traveling from Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) you can use HAVASAK 

Furthermore, there will be a special offer from HAVASAK to our participants, which will be announced later. 

Other options for traveling to Sapanca are listed below: 

• Private Transfer: There are private transfer services offeren in both airports. 

• Car Rental: Available at both IST and SAW. Drive ~1.5–2 hours via Anatolian Highway  or Northern Marmara Highway (O-4/E80) or (O-7) 

• Bus: Intercity buses run from Istanbul’s Esenler and Harem terminals to Sapanca.

• Train: High-speed trains from Halkalı, Söğütlüçeşme, Bostancı, Gebze (Istanbul) to Arifiye Station (closest to Sapanca). From Arifiye, it's a short taxi ride to the venue. You can buy a ticket from Turkish State Railways,  TCDD  Also you can find a direct train option (regional train) from Gebze to Sapanca destination.

If you’re traveling to Sapanca from abroad, here’s essential information about visa requirements and applications:

• Visa Regimes:

  • Certain nationalities can enter Turkey visa-free for up to 90 days within 180 days.

  • Many others can apply online for an e‑Visa, typically valid for 30–90 days 

  • Citizens not eligible for e‑Visas will need to apply at a Turkish embassy or consulate .

• General Requirements:

  • Passport validity: Minimum 60 days past your visa duration, with enough blank pages .

  • Some nationalities may need travel insurance, invitation letters, or additional documents—based on visa type

• Visa Types Relevant to Congress:
